The Shape of Being Seen

This work questions the ownership of the self, exploring how much of our identity is truly ours and how much is shaped through observation, expectation, and external pressure. The body is not presented as fixed, but as layered and continuously constructed, formed through repetition and influence. Familiar elements of perception, touch, and expression are multiplied and embedded into the figures, shifting them from tools of connection into sources of tension. What appears composed on the surface begins to reveal a quieter sense of restriction, where control and fragmentation exist at the same time. In this way, the body becomes something that can both conceal and confine, existing in a space between self-definition and external influence.
